STUDIO INSPIRATION TO BRIDAL PORTRAIT | HOUSTON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

  Studio Inspiration (1)

Ask any bride about her wedding dress and she has a story to tell.

Each and every bridal gown every worn down the aisle has a unique story that could conceivably turn into a best seller. From a little girl's dream of her fairytale wedding to the reality of the dress search.  Oh! the search for that perfect wedding dress. And in that search, it is easy to overlook custom made dresses when it really does not have to be. Ask your bridal dream team and chances are we know someone that knows someone that knows a custom designer, you know what I mean? All you need to do is ask. Since you asked nicely, I just happen to know of such a designer, Natalie Harris, the beauty, brains and purple colored hair behind @damselwhitelabel, you can find her here and here to see her "extraordinary gowns to your dream gown"

On your wedding day, we create your unique bridal portrait in your "perfect" gown to tell the story of you! These are images that you get to enjoy today, the foundation of stories you'll share with your children and grand-children, but most importantly, these are the images that speak to future generations when we are no longer here to speak. The images that show how you lived, loved and glowed on your wedding day.

These are the images you show, for the millionth time, to everyone you meet on how absolutely fabulous you looked on your wedding day. So, let's review your wedding day timeline and I will make sure you're equipped with the evidence for your future storytelling (side career).

Congratulations bride to be.

TRAVEL COACH FOR BUSY MOMS | RONNIE BLISS PHOTOGRAPHY

  Ronnie Bliss Photography_0414

A travel coach for boss moms.

If you've ever traveled with children you would appreciate Linda. From the constant backseat 'are we there yet?' to 'I need to go', or 's/he's looking at me' I'm sure any parent can relate to the joy of this season of life. Combine raising children to a boss mom and you almost paralyzed with fear to go on a car drive much less a plane ride. But, fear not, Linda has the hacks that'll make you wonder where she's been all your life. You can find her here and here

She took the time out of her busy coaching schedule for an early morning photo session.  And get this, she arrived with her two boys in tow. Picture a car seat in one hand, toddler in the other and a carry-on luggage right behind her, this woman lives what she preaches.

Enjoy the images.

WRITER, BLOGGER + FULL TIME CAREER WOMAN ROLLED INTO ONE | WASHINGTON DC

If I had to paint a lifestyle portrait of Tayla, poised and savvy and oh, sassy are just a few of words that will splash onto my canvas.

Career woman at the library of congres

I had this emerging blogger, writer and full-time career woman at the end of my lens on a recent Saturday afternoon walking around the nation's capital talking about goals and aspirations. One thing became apparent, Tayla is full of bright ideas and is not afraid to pursue them. Take for example, her soon to be launched blog. Her laser focused goal is to support, encourage and empower women to live virtuously in all areas of life. Her target audience? Women.  Of all ages and from all walks of life. There will be something for every woman whether single or married. Professionally, she aspires to be a published author and academic professor.

Here are a few of the images that developed. Career woman in washington DC Ronnie Bliss Photography_0200 Ronnie Bliss Photography_0212

She loves food – who doesn’t? We ended up discovering new eateries in the iconic Union Station after our photo shoot where she introduced me to one of her many favs in the city Shake Shack. Who knew there was such a great hidden gem in Union Station. I tend to just walk through or head straight to one of my tried and true restaurants. Lesson learned! Take time to look around or hang out with a local. And then there's her love for crafts, makeup, and shopping but above all, she values family.

A Michigan native, Tayla is an alumnae of Trinity Washington University. She plans to attend seminary in 2017 to obtain a Master’s of Divinity.

Friends in time of need

There are people we meet along the way that makes a difference in our lives. Those we meet at difficult times that turn out to be great friends are truly a gem. Amy and Gene are one of those friends that everyone should meet. They are simply beautiful inside and out, and were just what God planted my way at what was probably the lowest point in my life over a decade ago. Of course we have moved, kids are grown and starting to leave the nest. We have even occasionally crossed path and kept in touch here and there, you guessed it, Facebook. Not that we couldn't visit with one another, if you know anything about me, you'd know I'm that football-softball-band-chorus-ice-hockey-wherever-the-kids-needs-to-be-kind-of-mom. The milage on my previous car bore witness. But ha... kids grow, and they go to college, and I have all these time on my hand. Oh joy! Anyway, imagine my delight when one Saturday morning when I receive a fb message from Gene telling me he would like to have his family photos taken, and for once would like to be in front of the camera. The best part, he would like me to be their photographer. Today, I'd love to share the face of the family that was my second family when I needed one almost fourteen years ago. This beautiful lady that pointed out my very first townhome, and the guy that made my boys laugh while doing a willie with his jeep truck.

Sweet Sixteen!

My date with Anne as she turns sixteen.

Wow! where did the time go? She was just a little girl a few days ago, and if you've ever had the pleasure of meeting her, you'd never predict the outcome of the session. Anne can be both shy and, em, how shall I say this? talkative. Shy if she doesn't know you, but asks that "why"question of everything and anything if she's familiar. As she turns sixteen, its incredible to see what a stunner she's going to be. She showed up with her outfit already picked out, and that shoe on her feet,  I couldn't believe she'd walk in it but she pulled it off like a pro. To top it off,  she wanted a traditional headtie in her gallery (I'll post it later).  The makeup session practically transformed this beautiful young lady right before my eyes, but the absolute best part was photographing her. She did not require much coaching. She brought it!
